‘This Side-Other Side’ to compete for ifva Awards

Iranian short animation ‘This Side-Other Side’ has been set to attend the ifva Awards in China.

Iranian short animation ‘This Side-Other Side’ has been set to attend the ifva Awards in China.

The 25th edition of the Chinese awards ceremony held by the Hong Kong Arts Centre will be receiving Iranian animation on the aftermath of war directed by Lida Fazli.

In an earlier exclusive talk with ifilm, Fazli had said that she has made the short to convey the message that no border can limit friendship and love. She emphasized the fact that the love and kinship that exists between kids is so pure and innocent that nothing can destroy it even the dark shadow of war.

The short shows how the children of two opposite sides of a border cherish each other’s company, regardless of the fact that, their countries are burning in the fire of a war that the adults have brought upon it.

According to the official website of the event, this year edition of the awards ceremony is looking for the “hidden power of creativity, just like a little body could harbor a great soul to embrace whatever happened around the world, and chase any dreams that you’ve ever imagined!”.

The 25th edition of the ifva Awards is slated for February 26 to March 7, 2020.
